Central Georgia is a region in the United States that is home to a variety of cultural attractions, beautiful landscapes, and a rich history. Located in east-central Georgia, it borders the Atlanta metropolitan area to the north and is home to Twiggs County, which contains the actual geographic center of the state. It is also home to the first land-granted university in the United States, the University of Georgia in Athens. The Central Georgia Business and Technology Park in Thomaston is a 240-acre facility that houses tenants such as Southern Company, Solutions Pest & Lawn, Criterion Technologies, and Chief Manufacturing.

This area provides businesses with access to a variety of innovative business support resources. Central Georgia also has many historical sites that were saved from the fires of General Sherman's military “March to the Sea” in 1864. This gives visitors a unique glimpse into pre-Civil War Georgia and its pre-Civil War era. The Georgia Arts Council also selected Elbert Memorial Hospital as the place to exhibit a collection of original works of art by Georgia artists. Many of the employees present at the event received free training from Georgia Quick Start, the largest job training program in Georgia.

This program provides individuals with an opportunity to gain valuable skills and knowledge that can help them find employment or advance their career. Central Georgia is an amazing region with a wealth of cultural attractions, beautiful landscapes, and a rich history. From its business and technology park to its historical sites and art galleries, there is something for everyone in this region of the United States. Whether you are looking for employment opportunities or just want to explore its unique culture, Central Georgia has something for you.
